PROJECT 1
SEEKING FOR RS. 22 MILLION CLAIM
Contractor (Claimant) filed a Rs. 22 million claim against the Owner (Defendant) due to change in legislation during the construction of a large-scale hydroelectric project. Our professionals were called in to evaluate the claim. One of our professionals evaluated the claim thoroughly by adopting the essential elements required for the accomplishment of a successful claim: CEES - Cause, Effect, Entitlement and Substantiation. Upon submission of claim report, the Engineer (Project Consultant) made his determination and requested the owner for the approval of the Competent Authority for certifying the payment of Rs. 22 million to the Contractor.
PROJECT 2
SEEKING FOR EOT & COST CLAIM
A riot was occurred at the construction site of the project. The contractor’s (claimant) property loss and staff physical injury were caused by this incident. The whole line construction of the project was suspended for a period of seven days. We were approached to establish a claim against the owner (Defendant). Our expert report and continuous correspondence with the Engineer (Project Consultant), awarded the contractor 7 days of extension of time and payment of Rs 1.9M(LC) and US $ 1M(FC) to our contractor client.
PROJECT 3
SEEKING FOR EXTENSION OF TIME CLAIM
During the construction of powerhouse, our client ,contractor of the project, encountered convergence which resulted in changes to the support and revision in design. Accordingly, claim notice was served to the Engineer (Project Consultant). Our professional submitted a claim report with supporting substantiation. The Engineer concluded his evaluation that the powerhouse excavations were delayed for a period of 100 days. That is attributable to the owner of the project and the contractor has the entitlement for 100 days EOT.
PROJECT 4
VARIATION/CHANGE ORDERS
Actual works at site were executed much more beyond the scope of original contract/Tender Document/Drawings with respect to all sites of the Project. Changes in tender drawings due to site condition resulted in various Mega VOs, which were prepared for our client, the contractor of the Project. Following were two major VOs
1.Changes in tunnel in Underground Power House Complex
2.Changes in Design and Plan of project owner's Residential Colony
